My name is Gianni Dell'Aiuto. I've practiced law since 1994, and since 2009 I've been admitted to practice before Italy's Supreme Court of Cassation.
I started my career when the fax machine was the most advanced tool a lawyer had. Today I work with the internet and artificial intelligence. Almost a paradox I wrote about in my book L’Avvocato d’Impresa 6.0 (The Corporate Lawyer 6.0), where I laid out what it means for a lawyer to operate today: beyond the law itself. That’s what I set out to do every day, after 30 years in this profession.
Some people — too many business owners, unfortunately — still believe a lawyer’s job starts when a problem shows up.
That’s no longer true. It can’t be. Crises aren’t solved. They’re anticipated.
Marco Polo didn’t wait for the spices in Venice. That’s my motto — a principle I’ve lived by long before it became a professional method: those who wait for risk to materialize always arrive after those who saw it coming.
I work with businesses and professionals before it’s too late, using the law as a strategic tool for prevention and growth.
My focus is on governance:
going beyond compliance and regulatory checklists.
I don’t treat data protection rules like GDPR and NIS2, or Article 2086 of the Italian Civil Code — which requires businesses to adopt an adequate organizational structure — as mere legal obligations. I treat them as tools for building organizations where roles, responsibilities, processes, and decision-making are clearly defined.
